A Few Questions...

Ok, I have a long list of questions but we're going to take this in stages. Here is the first set.

1. Is there a way to disable IMAPs, POP3s and POP3?
- In other words, I want SMTP and IMAP running only.

2. Is it possible to install a SquirrelMail theme? If so, where is the SquirrelMail directory?

3. What is the default password for the dsm user and can I change it?
- To me, it just doesn't seem secure right now.

Any answers to these questions is greatly appreciated as I am sure I am not the only one that was wondering about these.

Re: A Few Questions...

1. Sure disable it in the mail config. or just firewall the ports.

2. over the webmail on the 3001 port?

3. do you mean your root password?

Re: A Few Questions...

Thank you for the reply...

I was not able to find where to disable POP3, POP3s and IMAPs. I tried stopping POP3 within the control panel and that in turn stopped POP3, SMTP and IMAP altogether, not what I wanted.

I realize now that the webmail application that is installed is not SquirrelMail, it is SqWebMail, so the answer to the question I asked is obviously no unless I installed SquirrelMail.

Well, I meant the username 'dsm' within MySQL but I have already figured out how and where to change this.

New questions:

1. Is it possible to replace SqWebMail with SquirrelMail? If so, what steps would need to be taken?
- In other words, I am looking to remove SqWebMail and install SquirrelMail so that it runs on the same port 3001.

Re: A Few Questions...

Edit /usr/local/apache/conf/webmail.conf

upload the new webmail and change the paths to your needs.

I use an alias via httpd.conf anydomain.com/webmail
