Install Error
This is the error that I'm getting:
===== Installing Packages ===== == Installing dsm-system == Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - Base retrygrab() failed for: http://yum.piebox.com/rhel/9/i386/ba...rs/header.info Executing failover method failover: out of servers to try Error getting file http://yum.piebox.com/rhel/9/i386/ba...rs/header.info [Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden FATAL: Install of dsm-system failed Granted I'm new to Linux, so I have no clue as to why it's not pulling the header info. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Install Error
Ok now a new one:
It keeps scrolling: error: rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h# 510 Header V3 DSA signature: BAD, key ID db42a60e In the console, will this ever end? Or will it end up failing? |

Re: Install Error
About an hour later, it is still scrolling. Should it be doing this? What am I missing?

Re: Install Error
Ok, seems I used my External IP instead of the IP for the machine on the network. I submitted for a new license.

192.168.0.102
External out of router would be 65.185.42.249 |

Re: Install Error
The ip address 65.185.42.249 must be on eth0.

Re: Install Error
But since I have a router with multiple computers, I have to assign IP's with the routers DHCP service. Is there any way I can assign the IP 65.185.42.249 to the Linux box and still have it work with the router?

Re: Install Error
With your router you should be able to assign a /30 or similar with your public IP space. On the internal network.
The only other way around this is to assign the internal ip address to a sub interface of eth0 such as eht0:1 and then the public ip address to eth0. |

Re: Install Error
How would I set up a sub interface so that the IP points to my internal IP? Please forgive me, Im not used to messing with Linux, mostly Windows servers. So would that be in the /etc/rc.d/init.d/network file?
Thanks. |
