Why is the username length limited to 4-7 characters? This makes it difficult to move CPanel sites that are allowed 3-8 characters for the username. Since the username is stored in the filepath, that means that all paths will have to be updated with a different username.

Hi!

We want to migrate from Cobalt RaQ to Zervex.

The Cobalt has a username limitation of 12 characters only (which was already not enough for many usernames - which where produced from their realnames)

Does it mean that the usernames will be cutted of at character 7 ?

Or is this issue already solved to allow longer usernames ?

DSM only supports 3-8 characters within usernames.
Yes, if you have usernames longer than 8 characters you will need to shorten them in order to migrate.
