Hi,

I keep recieving the following error when trying to sent mail via oulook 2003:

Task 'chris@macleod.cc - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 417 DNS lookup failure: macleod.cc. Try again later.'

The domain macleod.cc has been added and "chris" has been setup as a email address. I have enabled smtp authentication in the mail client. This is happening with more than one of my domains.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong? It was all working until a couple of weeks ago, i have tried removing the domain then adding it again to no avail.

TIA

I think you can add your /etc/resolv.conf file at first line, your primary ip as a nameserver... (or likely 127.0.0.1)... This should solve your dns issue... and don't forget a good nameserver ip at the second or third line... You can only add 3 nameserver to this file...
