Hi folks,

In the New DSM License mail, it says:
"Must be a stock installation (w/o having run up2date or any
similar application)"
AND
"After DSM is installed, feel free to run any upgrade processes as needed
to update the system rpms."

Does this mean I can NOT yum before DSM is installed?

I have CentOS 3.4, and wanted to upgrade to CentOS 4 before installing DSM, would that be a problem?

Thank you.

You should install dsm on the base OS which would before you run yum up2date etc as dsm runs yum/up2date during the installation process.
We suggest that you do an upgrade using media though and not use yum if you can.
