This is currently an issue with PSMTP.com (Postini - a popular mail filtering service) and courier. See more information on this thread: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=6166050&forum_id=6705
There is a workaround for the time being, you can disable SMTP TLS using instructions from courier's author in this post

Note, this is only a workaround, and seems to be result of a change on postini's side, nothing changed on your server. One of the people on the courier list claims to be working with technical staff at postini to resolve the problem.
