Spam Assassin 2.53 is obsolete

Hello,

When will Zervex integrate the latest version of spam assassin in DSM?

Because the actual DSM release include spam assassin 2.53 which is obsolete.

Per example, if you send a message with Outlook 2003, spamassassin will mark it as spam :

FORGED_MUA_OUTLOOK (3.3 points) Forged mail pretending to be from MS Outlook
MISSING_OUTLOOK_NAME (0.9 points) Message looks like Outlook, but isn't

its the stock spam assassin package so you can download the 2.64 which backports the rules from 3.0 to the older version. Has everything but uri blocklists. Since the perl interface changed with the new 3.0 package in order to use that i think dsm will have to be upgraded, but i could be wrong.

you are correct you can indeed upgrade Spamassasin without affecting dsm as the implementation is the same.

This upgrade is due to be released with DSM version 3.
