DSM RH 9.0 Availability ETA?

RedHat 9 isn't even out yet. I would think that they will wait to atleast make sure all of the bugs are out.
I don't think to many companies want to see another 8.0 like release. Hell everyone that I know is still using 7.3.
What are you installing on your servers?

9 will be out on monday, less then a week away.
8.0 is what we are installing now.
redhat is dropping all support for 7.2 and back on monday also - and dropping all support for 7.3 as of dec. So everyone that gets 7.3 installed now is looking at an os reinstall/upgrade by dec no matter what - imagine another slapper worm with no fix for it.... redhat is making our lives miserable... but its not just them, most other linux distros and microsoft are doing the same.
We will post a tentative release date next week.

Does DSM now support RH 9.0, and if not, what's the ETA?
Didn't he just say "We will post a tentative release date next week.". I'm not sure what other question you thought he was answering.

'Next week' from Mar 27 - and it's now July and seems like there's no ETA yet... unless it's posted elsewhere?
it looks like it will be a few weeks. We are waiting for a few peices of software that is installed by dsm to have solid 9 support.

Does this still look to be current? We've got some customers sitting and waiting on their servers as they want RH9 installed due to RedHat's dropping of support of 7.3/8 at the end of this year.
yes you can expect it next week.

Three days to go. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'd hate to lose the cusotmers due to lack of delivery; I'd certainly lose my faith in recommending DSM any further. Please don't let us down!

One day to go. A status update would be a great courtesy.

The installdsm script that was downloaded contains no reference to 9.0. Installation failed immediately.

It's far from ready for RH9 production use. We spent the last three days trying to get DSM working properly without any luck.
We've formatted, installed and reformatted 9 nine times across 3 different sets of hardware.
The base RH9 install goes fine and preliminary tests of that all pass. As soon as DSM is installed, it starts throwing tempfs/quota errors, and if you dare trying updating the RH Errata through DSM, you render the box unusable (hence needing a reformat). The Errata update causes segementation faults and subsequent restarts result in INIT errors (spawning too fast) effectively beringing the server to halt as you cannot even log in from the console.
This is all on hardware that worked fine for DSM/RH8, as well as cPanel/RH9.
Sorely disappointed.

We have 3 boxes runing under 9 so far and they work great for us. Did you have zervex look at your machine?

Did you use DSM to do the Errata updates?
They can't look at it as it causes a full crash where you can't even log in locally let alone remotely.
