One-time license pricing

I would like to buy a license to DSM on a one-time basis, I saw this in the FAQ that it would be an option with the 2.0 release, is there any updated info on this?

This option is not available yet. We are working on getting all of the core features implemented before we move into the one time pricing model. Look for this within the next few months.

With that being the case, would it be possible for me to buy the license for one year, and then in a few months when you have the one-time pricing, for me to "upgrade" to that getting credit for what I already paid?
